New Opposition Leader

The Liberal party has gotten around to choosing their next leader. I haven't been following the whole process closely. It was interesting to see how the voting went, specially toward the end. Poor Bob Rae missed his chance thanks to a previous deal Dion made with Kenedy. Shows the convention floor and the back room politics are alive and kicking. I breathe a bit of a sigh of relief that Ignetief missed out on being crowned.

Dion, my prayer for you is that God give you special instruction in the night that you may play an important part in how our country is to be lead. I do not like your political spectrum but I do believe that God can instruct people to move in a certain direction that they may not normally take. Hopefully it will not be politics as usual. We may be in for a surprise or two.

Hellooooo, brother in Christ!

I believe that God is in control whether people listen to Him or not. Now, how cool is that!

There is a passage in Job that speaks of God instructing people, what they must do, while they are sleeping.

A person I know had abused welfare so badly that they were told they would never get on the roles again. I was counseling this person and helping them get their life in order. To do so they needed to temporarily get back on the welfare role. I prayed that the Spirit of God would talk to this man in charge of welfare and have him look with favour on the counselee. Next day he went in to the welfare office. The man in charge, upon seeing the person I was counseling, greeted him into his office, asked what he was doing now and put him back on welfare without any fuss or struggle. This blew the mind of the person I was counseling. It was a further opportunity to show that God cares and He is in control.

Wow! Stories like that are great. They show how very much alive and involved our God is!
